Polbathic - Site For 19 Dwellings

This application site comprises some 0.44ha (1.09 acres) of land which has formerly been used by St Germans Foundry (until 1968) and Plymouth Galvanizing Co. (until 1998). Since this time the site has mostly been unoccupied, and all building associated with its former use have been demolished and cleared to leave an open site with concrete hardstandings and foundations. A planning application (ref/PA17/12198) was approved in December 2018 for residential development of the site, with an outline proposal for 19 new dwellings comprising (indicatively) a range of semi-detached and terraced two storey dwellings and a two storey block of 6 flats. Access to the site will be via two existing entrances on the western edge of the site, one of which will serve the flats and their associated parking and one serving the proposed houses.
