Troon - Former Cricket Clubhouse Site

A residential development site with the benefit of full detailed planning permission (Ref.PA17/11813) for a terrace of 7 dwelling houses. The site is the former cricket clubhouse and car park for Troon cricket club, it is relatively level and extends to approximately 0.23 hectares (0.57 acres). It is centrally situated in this thriving village within close proximity of the Primary School and other village amenities such as post office and convenience store. The former cricket clubhouse building has now been demolished and cleared from the site.

Work has commenced on the site with a substantial section of the access road and drainage having recently been completed to base course to satisfy a legal requirement stipulated by the previous owner. All pre-commencement planning conditions have been discharged, including drainage design, contaminated land and site investigation reports.

PLANNING

Cornwall Council granted Outline Planning Permission (Ref.PA15/03833) for 7 dwellings at the former Troon Cricket Club, Laity Road, Troon, TR14 9EL on 28th July 2015.

A subsequent application (Ref. PA16/03436) for reserved matters for approval of access following outline permission PA15/03833 for seven dwellings was approved on 20th July 2016.

A pre-application enquiry for a revised proposal for a terrace of 7 houses was submitted to Cornwall Council (Ref.PA16/03477/PREAPP) on 2nd December 2016 and received a positive response.

A reserved matters application (ref.PA17/11813) for a terrace of 7 houses was approved on 23rd January 2018.

An application was submitted to discharge conditions 3 (ground stability) and 6 (boundary treatment) - (ref. PA17/11988).
